This unusual itinerary is the perfect introduction to two of Austria’s less obvious cities. Our 6 night itinerary includes rail travel throughout your time in Austria, and enables you to experience some of Europe’s most stunning scenery from the comfort of your rail carriage.
Day 1
Fly from the airport of your choice to Munich. On arrival at Munich, take the train from the airport to Munich main railway station from where you will catch the train to Innsbruck. This is very easy and straightforward and you should arrive in Innsbruck approximately 3 hours after catching the train from Munich Airport (depending on time of day).
The train journey from Munich to Innsbruck is relaxing and scenic and you should arrive in Innsbruck in good time to check into your hotel and unpack before enjoying a leisurely evening.
Day 1 - day 4
3 nights in Innsbruck at your choice of the Hotel Goldene Krone (3-star) or Innsbruck Hotel Central (4-star).
Your 3 night stay in Innsbruck will enable you to thoroughly explore the city, with all the following included in the price:
Bed and breakfast accommodation in a twin/double room.
1 hour walking tour of Innsbruck with an English speaking guide.
A Tyrolean evening show (including 1 drink) with return hotel transfers.

Day 4
Leisurely breakfast at your hotel, before checking out and returning to Innsbruck Station to catch the 12:25 train to Graz. This is a direct service and the journey takes you through the central alpine areas of Austria. Truly a stunning rail journey, when you can enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe.
Arrive in the historic city of Graz at 18:22 and transfer to your hotel.
Day 4 – day 7
3 nights in the city of Graz at your choice of the Graz Hotel Europa (4-star) or the Graz Hotel Weitzer (4-star).
Your 3 night stay in Graz will include the following:
3 nights in a twin or double room on a bed and breakfast basis.
1 ½ hour walking tour of Graz with English speaking guide.
