Suggested Itinerary:

Day 1

Arrive Brisbane Airport where you will be met and transferred to the beautiful Hyatt Regency Resort in Coolum. This is a drive of approximately 1.5 hours. The Hyatt Resort is set in 250 hectares of natural woodlands, bushlands, rainforest and gardens at the base of Mount Coolum on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. It has an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, multiple pools and miles of pristine white beach. Because of the long journey to Australia, we recommend 4 days at the beginning of your holiday to relax and enjoy this beautiful location. Accommodation is in small units scattered throughout the complex. (Note: families with up to 2 children under the age of 16 stay in units with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and pay only for the 2 adults).

Day 5

Your car will be delivered to the hotel. Travel inland to the mountains and spend 2 days at Clouds Resort at Montville, which is a grand colonial retreat set on 4.5 ha of rural splendour with a backdrop of verdant bushland and a panoramic view of the Sunshine Coast to Moreton Bay and the blue Pacific. Accommodation in self-catering units.

Day 7

Return to the coast and drive North to Fraser Island, a World Heritage Site. 2 nights on Fraser Island at the Kingfisher Bay Resort and Village. Set in among the trees and part of the National Park Kingfisher Bay offer unique Villa stays and a 4 Star Resort Hotel. With three restaurants and 4 pools and a number of Ranger Guided 4WD Tours of the island. Kingfisher Bay offer something for everyone, from a luxurious massage at the Resort Salon to just relaxing by the pool. There are a number of guided short walks. And access to World Heritage Listed sites.

Day 9

Drive up the coast to Gladstone and return your car to the airport. You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to the Marina to catch the boat out to Heron Island. This is where your Barrier Reef experience starts. Heron Island is an idyllic coral cay located right on the Great Barrier Reef. Swim straight off the beach to an endless garden of coral where waters are teeming with beautiful marine life. Choice of accommodation depending on your requirements. 4 nights.

Day 13

Return to Gladstone Airport and fly to Cairns. On arrival, pick up another rental car and drive up to Port Douglas (approximately 1 hour). From your base at Port Douglas you can explore the rain forest, take a cable car ride high above the forest, experience great water sport. Choice of accommodation. 4 nights.

Day 17

Return car to Cairns Airport and fly to Darwin. 4 day Kakadu adventure. Kakadu is Australia's largest National Park and an experience unlike anything you will have had so far on your trip.

Day 21

Depart Darwin Airport for your flight home.
