It is easy to forget just how large France is and how the areas dramatically vary in character. It is interesting how British people have their own firm favourite places to stay in France – but the truth is that France remains a firm favourite because of the diversity of choice.
Whether you are driving down to the Champagne region for a few days, or renting a villa in the South of France for a fortnight, we are happy to put together all the elements.
With the delays and aggravation of flying (particularly at peak periods), it is well worth thinking of going on holiday by train. France is the ideal destination to visit by train – then rent a car when you reach your destination.
We have some fun suggestions for combining a stay in France with concerts or interesting festivals. For example, our Chateau in South West France (see "suggested itineraries") combines wonderfully with Jazz in nearby Marciac. June is the time when luminaries of the jazz world play at Marciac - plus there is an active jazz programme in the town during other months.
