SOUTH AMERICA Chile

Capillas Marmol Camping in Chile

Chileis the long, thin country on the left of South America.  This may sound simplistic, but by its very nature of being long and thin Chile combines an amazing variety of terrain and climate.  In the far North of the country is the Atacama Desert, whilst in the far South are the ice caps around Tierra del Fuego.

Chilehas vast National Parks, lakes and a coastline which just begs to be explored.  It is possible to explore independently, travelling between points by car, internal flights or boat.  We can make all the arrangements for you and our colleagues locally will be there to assist you throughout your holiday.

Laguna Patagonia

Chileis a country with so much to offer – the National Parks are excellent for trekking (either on foot or on horseback), there are cruises which explore the nooks and crannies of the coastline, or comfortable private lodges offering wonderful service and pampering.  Plus – Chile has fantastic wines!

When to go: Because of its length, the climate zones in Chile go from desert to ice caps. This means that visiting the Far North (desert area) is suitable all year round but the Far South is unsuitable between June and September. Exploring the central areas of Chile is perfect in their Spring (from mid-September to early December) after which the weather warms up.
