Just the name Zanzibar creates an image in our mind’s eye of sparkling blue seas, Arab Dhows sailing on the horizon, the smell of spices and endless white beaches.  Well – this IS what you will find here.  Plus friendly people and comfortable hotels with exemplary service.  Our favourite beach hotel is Breezes – once again privately owned, and situated on a magical, endless white beach. 

 

 

The capital Stonetown is fascinating to explore with a guide and would definitely add to the Zanzibar experience (after you have relaxed into the gentle lifestyle of the island). 

Zanzibar works perfectly as a holiday in its own right, or as the end to an exciting safari.
