Madagascar is still something of a well-kept secret - it is quite beautiful and utterly fascinating.
There are only two seasons in Madagascar: Dry season and wet season. Wet season lasts in most areas for 5 months (from December to April). In eastern Madagascar it rains quite often all year long, whereas it rarely rains in western Madagascar.
In the central parts of Madagascar, winter nights are so cold that the temperature may go down to +5°C. It may even go down to around freezing point in Antsirabe. Please bring warm clothes if you travel to Madagascar between May and September. From November till March, it is hot in southern and western Madagascar. The temperature in the coastal regions is generally higher than that in inland Antananarivo.
We can suggest a selection of Madagascar itineraries - there is SO much choice! You can book with confidence because our colleagues at Jenman Safaris are experts who are passionate about Madagascar. Please feel free to tell us what you wish to see and do and we are confident we can put something together for you which will make Madagascar a "holiday to remember". Alternatively, look at the two itineraries we have on the website or - as above - ask us to let you have a further selection of these.
Our web itineraries are selected because they are two ends of the spectrum - one staying at comfortable hotels whilst exploring Madagascar, the other a dhow camping trip. We are sure you will agree that they are both very tempting and represent excellent value for money.
Madagascar also combines well with an African safari. The possibilities are vast!
